Awfis, one of India’s leading co-working space providers, is stepping outside its core business with an ambitious new venture. The company has now expanded into the furniture manufacturing and design segment, targeting not just co-working clients but also businesses and individuals setting up hybrid workspaces.
This strategic pivot signals Awfis’ intent to become a full-service workspace solutions brand, and not just a provider of flexible office seats.
A Natural Evolution from Co-working to Furniture:
Having built over 170 co-working centres across India, Awfis has already amassed years of experience designing ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing office environments. Leveraging this experience, the company is now channeling its in-house design and manufacturing capabilities into a new product line: office furniture.
The expansion isn’t a sudden move. Over the years, Awfis had already been custom-building workstations, desks, and meeting pods for its own centers and enterprise clients. Now, it is officially entering the B2B and B2C furniture market.
What the New Furniture Division Offers:
Awfis plans to offer a wide range of furniture including:
- Work desks
- Meeting tables
- Collaborative seating
- Lounge chairs
- Modular workspace setups
- Custom furniture for hybrid and remote workspaces
Target customers include startups, small and medium businesses (SMBs), large enterprises, and even individual consumers creating home offices.
The company is also integrating its furniture offerings with its Awfis@Home solution, which provides companies with tools to support employees working remotely.
Built In-house, Delivered Nationwide:
What makes this move even more notable is that Awfis isn’t outsourcing production. The furniture will be manufactured in-house, using Awfis’ own design team and local manufacturing partners. This allows the company to maintain control over quality, pricing, and customization-key factors in a competitive furniture market.
Delivery and installation will be handled via Awfis’ established logistics network, which already supports hundreds of centers across the country.
Strategic Timing Amid India’s Hybrid Work Boom:
Awfis’ entry into furniture comes at a time when India’s hybrid work culture is reshaping office infrastructure needs. Many companies are downsizing fixed offices and investing in flexible, scalable workspaces. At the same time, individual professionals and freelancers are setting up home offices.
Awfis aims to position itself as the go-to workspace brand-whether it’s a co-working desk, a 50-seat enterprise office, or a work-from-home setup.
