Birla revealed a groundbreaking ₹1,000 crore initiative to establish an “AI+ campus” in Amravati, Andhra Pradesh, launching in 2027. The institution will offer undergrad to doctoral programs in fields like AI, computational linguistics, and robotics, with global-standard curricula, international internships, and joint PhDs.
Project Vistaar: Scaling Across Campuses.
To support increased demand, BITS Pilani’s campuses in Pilani, Hyderabad, and Goa will undergo expansion-including new academic blocks, advanced research labs, student residences, and modern facilities-under “Project Vistaar,” backed by ₹1,200 crore.
BITS Pilani Digital: Democratizing Learning.
Recognizing India’s demographic reality-65% of its population under 35-Birla announced BITS Pilani Digital, an ed‑tech platform offering 32 flexible programs (11 degrees, 21 certificates) aimed at students and working professionals alike. Over the next five years, this initiative targets 100,000 learners and aims to deliver high-quality, accessible education.
